This scholarship program is designed to foster inter-generational relationships by having our students work with the elderly in our community.
We need students who are:
- Passionate about service
- Intentional and creative with their mentor visits
- Committed to visiting a mentor one hour weekly
- Desire to positively impacting a mentor’s life
- Looking to serve, grow, learn and build a relationship with this mentor
- Values Christian education
Steps to Completing Your PFE
Step 1: Attend Orientation
Step 2: Choose Your Mentor
Step 3: Apply Online for a Student Account
Step 4: Schedule Your Visits
Step 5: Visit!
Step 6: Reflect on your time with your mentor within 24 hours of your visit.
Students can spend their weekly visit doing activities such as:
- Reading
- Going for walks
- Playing games
- Doing crafts
- Baking or cooking
- Organizing pictures or scrapbooks
- Socializing
- Gardening
- Other activities
